For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
Wow.The last part of 16 really strikes me. I love this passage so much for two reasons. First, because of the sense of purpose it gives. If God wrote out everything in our lives before we were even made, we SO have a purpose. He's got a great plan for each and every one of us just like in Jeremiah 29:11. Second, after reading this, it's really hard to feel insecure. The trap of looks is broken because we're fearfully and wonderfully made. The battlefield of the mind is won because we know he created our inmost being. And also, it means each one of us is special to God. He made us in the "secret place". That definitely implies individual attention. You've read this, now live like it! If God is for us, who can be against us? I love the hope this whole passage brings :)
